This vase conveys the confusion of medical diagnosis, with the top being tiny and broken, demonstrating the issues existing within the American healthcare industry. I used porcelain clay to convey fragility, a black underglaze to indicate sickness and disease, and a clear matte glaze to blur the vivid blacks.

Three shapes, not quite fitting together but intersecting in an interlacing pattern of ideas, actions, and forms; a reflection of one of my friendships, the pieces together represent an important facet of my life. This circle of pieces represents one of my best and longest-lasting friendships, as we do not fit together on the outside, but our personalities connect and complement each other.
